I’m off on a workshop next week with one of my favourite child photographers in the world, the very talented Barb Uil of Jinky Art. There is a wonderful group of family photographers from around Europe attending, and we have some great shoots lined up….as you can probably guess, I am VERY excited! Although it’s the longest I’ve ever left the boys for so I am a bit nervous about how much I’ll miss them.
To introduce ourselves to the rest of the group, we were asked to take self portrait of ourselves. I found this a real challenge as I’ve never done a self-portrait before and I wasn’t sure how to portray myself. I decided I should have my boys in it with me as they’re with me every second I’m not working anyway! I won’t explain why I chose to portray myself like this, I think it’s pretty self-explanatory so I’ll let you work it out for yourself! So here is the finished result….
And yes I know Sam looks really grumpy! But it took me about 10 minutes to bribe him to sit on the bench (can you see the chocolate in his hand?!) so I was just happy he finally sat there long enough for me to get the shot.
I’m away until Thursday 17th May, so please bear with me if I don’t respond to your email with my usual speed. I’ll be back to work on Friday, hopefully full of lots of new ideas and inspiration!
