Family photo shoot in Thames Ditton (and an update on availability)

Ok, so hands up if you’ve had enough of this weather? I have never been so ready for the summer, I am totally over the cold and rain! I have had to reschedule all of my sessions this month so far; unfortunately wind, rain and the cold aren’t that conducive to beautiful family photos outdoors!

Normally I love shooting in March, but considering the weather we’ve had this month, I can’t believe now that I did this shoot in the spring blossom in early March a couple of years ago and my spring mini sessions last year. Unfortunately, we had to reschedule my spring mini sessions last weekend due to the weather. I did a recce in this spot from last year, and there were no daffodils, just lots of mud! We’ve rescheduled to this Sunday so I’m just keeping everything crossed for no rain! I feel like I’ve started so many blog posts whinging about the weather over the past 12 months….we definitely deserve a great summer this year!

Anyway, enough of me waffling on about the weather, I know you’ve come here to see some pretty pictures. Well, I did manage to have a shoot with this lovely family in February. We did the first half of the shoot at their home which was great to get lots of lovely shots of this little lady playing around in her cot. This black and white image below was the family’s favourite from the session and they have ordered it in a large wall frame which is going to look stunning.

Then we were fortunate enough with the weather (in that it wasn’t raining or snowing!) and so we walked down to this green space near their house and got some lovely family photos outside.

The family have also ordered a Storyboard Frame of the outdoors photos which is going to look great, along with lots of gift prints and some mini brag books.

I just thought I’d give a quick update on my session availability as the diary is looking very busy for this year. I only have 2 full custom sessions left now before September. I can do one more weekday session in May and I only have one weekend session left which is 29th June. All of my summer mini sessions are now booked up although I may add another morning of mini sessions in the lavender fields. I email my mini session dates to people who have had shoots with me in the past, and people who have been on my workshops, so they do tend to sell out before I have a chance to announce them on my blog. If you want to be added to that email list, please fill in your details right at the bottom of this page (where it says ‘newsletter sign up’).

Oh and if you would love some gorgeous headshots of yourself that you would be proud to share, I only have one more slot available at my headshot morning in May.

The only benefit to my shoots rescheduling this month, is that it has given me some time to work on an exciting new project which I am hoping to launch after the summer. I can’t say any more at the moment I’m afraid, but I should be able to give you some more details very soon!

Thank you Vicki for these amazing photos. You made the whole experience so relaxed and enjoyable and made sure that we got exactly what we wanted from the session. The most difficult bit was choosing which ones we want to display as we love them all. I’ve already taken my little book out to dinner with friends and to work. Can’t wait to see out framed prints! Looking forward to another excuse for some more photos of my little girl in the future!
