I have been reading through my blog posts from this past year; it’s a bit like a diary for me, albeit a very public one! And what a year 2010 has been! Here are some of the highlights in case you missed them. Click on the link to see the original blog post:
The birth of my second son Sam in June
In addition to this, I have worked with some wonderful clients (some of whom I now consider friends) and have made some lovely new photographer friends through Twitter.
I remember someone telling me when I first started my business, that it takes 2 years for everything to fall into place. This year was my 2nd full year of business and I see now they were absolutely right! I now have lots of lovely clients who are constantly recommending me to their friends, I feel comfortable with my photography style and through much experience, I know how to get the best out of children.
My business wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the support of 2 people. My wonderfully supportive husband Karl who I'm just so lucky to have. I'm constantly talking to him about my business, and his advice is always spot on (although I don't always admit it!) And my lovely mum who drives for 130 miles every Wednesday without fail to come up and help with the boys and allow me to work. They are both just amazing and I couldn't do this without them. I know this is beginning to sound like an Oscar acceptance speech but I wanted to publicly thank them both for keeping me sane this year!
I'm so excited about 2011. It sees the start of my photography workshops for parents and I have so many lovely sessions booked in the diary. It's going to be a great year!
But before we enter a new year, I just wanted to reflect on 2010 and show you a selection of my favourite images from the year. It was so difficult to narrow it down to this amount (and I know there's a lot here) There are so many other favourites I've had to leave out! Enjoy....
This doesn't even include all of my favourite images of my two boys, but if I included those this post would never end! I'll just leave you with this image of Harrison which was taken during the snow back in January and was used on some of my Christmas cards this year. Merry Christmas and I hope you have a wonderfully festive time with your family. x
