Results of my autumn mini sessions – part 1

I’m excited to share with you one of the autumn mini sessions I did a few weeks ago. We had planned to hold the morning in Esher Common where I held my autumn mini sessions last year, but as the forecast was showing grey skies I decided to change the location a few days before as the woods would have been too dark. So instead I did the mini sessions in one of my favourite places to shoot, Bushy Park. If you want to know what the difference is between a mini session and one of my custom sessions, you can find out here.

The morning went really well, and all of the families are delighted with the results. With 7 under 4’s to photograph and entertain, me and Claire (my assistant for the morning) were pretty exhausted by the end of it!

Here was the first lovely family of the morning. I loved the effect of the early morning fog in the top couple of shots.
There is still some autumn colour around, so to inspire you all to pick up your cameras and photograph your own children, I wrote the 4 reasons why I love photographing children in the autumn over on my workshop blog. Take a read and get out snapping this weekend!
