I’m delighted to say that my new video training is ready for you to see. A number of months ago I asked on my Facebook page what parents were struggling with the most when it came to photographing their children. I must admit, I expected the answers to be ‘getting blurred photos’ or something similar. But the vast majority of people responded saying that they really struggled with getting their children to have natural expressions in their photos, and that whenever they got their camera out their child either gave that fake ‘cheese’ grin or ran in the other direction!
So I decided to create some free video training with my 8 secret tips for getting natural expressions in your family photos. These tips and tricks have come from 5 years of my photographing children professionally (and I’ve photographed over 500 children so I’ve dealt with tons of different little characters!) and also from being a mum and photographing my own boys.
I realised that a video would be the best way of me communicating the tips to you, as I think I am better at explaining things in person than I am at writing them down! The one thing I had to overcome was speaking to camera, it didn’t feel very natural to me so it took a lot of practise…I do cringe quite a bit when I watch it back (is my voice really that deep?!)
Here is the intro video I had created, which I will hopefully be using on my training videos in the future. I hope you like it!
