I hope you all had a great weekend and enjoyed half-term. I really enjoyed my week with my boys but I was a bit relieved that they were back to school & nursery this morning so I could actually get some proper work done! I always love this time of year; Karl and I celebrated our 7 year wedding anniversary last week (remember when I posted the embarrassing pics of us as kids a couple of years ago), then there is the excitement of Halloween, my birthday and then bonfire night tomorrow. All crammed into 10 days!
The shoot that I’m sharing today was actually booked in for last autumn. But we had to reschedule a number of times due to bad weather, illnesses, injuries and business trips so we only managed to do it this October! The lovely mum had been on one of my ‘Photography for Parents’ workshops in Cobham last year, and although she can now take great photos of her own children, it was important to them that they had lovely photos of their whole family. We were very lucky to wake up to a nice morning (obviously 5th time lucky!) 😉
As you can see the little man had knocked his nose that week leaving a little scratch. Superficial marks like this can easily be removed in photo editing software, but they decided they wanted to leave the scratch in the photos as it’s real life and the photos show him exactly how he was at the time. I love that!
The family have ordered a few frames to display on their walls as well as the full digital collection to create their own albums and prints. It’s been a while since I shared any mock ups or product photos with you so I thought I would share a mock up of how their storyboard frame is going to look. I can’t wait to see it!
I have a busy month ahead with workshops, autumn mini sessions and lots of lovely autumn family sessions. Fingers crossed for lots of sunshine!
