I’ve got a special shoot to share with you today. I don’t tend to do many newborn sessions, as the majority of my enquiries are from families with children. So it’s a treat when I do get to photograph teeny little babies!
This little man was all of 18 days old. I photographed him when he was still in his Mummy’s tummy, you may recognise the family from their spring mini session back in March.
Photographing these new brothers made me feel all sentimental about when my 2 boys were this age… I remember those special (and exhausting!) days like they were yesterday, yet it was over 4 years ago now.
I feel passionately about photographing families as naturally as possible at this precious time….I wrote more about the style in which I like to photograph newborns with their families (and why) in this blog post.
Anyone who has ever tried to photograph a toddler and a newborn together will know it’s not the easiest thing in the world! Funnily enough toddlers aren’t too keen to sit still and kiss their new baby sibling on demand…So when I finished this session the family really thought I hadn’t got anything good. I walked out of the door with a knowing smile and then delighted (and surprised!) them when they saw their gallery.
This was the email I received from them straight after they viewed their gallery….
