A family photo shoot in the Surrey Hills

Can you believe it’s the last day of September tomorrow? It just seems to have flown by. I guess the fact that I’ve moved home, my boys have changed schools (and my youngest has started school) plus a trip to a convention in Utah means there has been a lot to keep me busy!

We are finally settled into our new home in Hindhead, Surrey. We still have a few more boxes to unpack but it definitely feels like home already. It feels a bit strange being 45 mins away from Surbiton (where we had lived for 10 years), but I think we’re really going to love it here. I can’t wait to do some shoots around this part of Surrey, it’s just beautiful. I will say though, that I am never moving again! (I said that 5 years ago but I really mean it this time!) The stress leading up to exchange (which took 5 months) was horrible and then the actual packing, moving and unpacking wasn’t very pleasant either. But at least now we can unpack knowing that we’re not going to be doing it again for a very long time!

With everything that has been going on, it does mean that I have fallen a little behind in my blogging. So get ready to see lots of lovely summer shoots! I thought I would start with this session that took place in Boxhill in the summer. The family had moved down from London to the Surrey Hills and so wanted the shoot to show them outdoors enjoying the countryside. So Boxhill was the perfect location for their session!

It was the first time I had done a shoot in Boxhill and I absolutely loved it. There is so much variety to their photos, from a summery field to the gritty doors of the fort and everything in between.

The boys were so sweet with their little sister, look how much they love her!

I got this lovely email from the family once they had viewed their gallery.

“I just wanted to say thank you, your photos have really brought tears to my eyes. You have captured our little family perfectly, thank you so much.”

The family ordered some gorgeous frames to hang around their home along with a stunning fine art album which really showed their photos off at their best.

And just a quick update on availability. I only have one weekend session left now before Christmas and that is the morning of Saturday 22nd November or on a weekday at the end of November. I have already had lots of organised parents booking their sessions for next year, some even as far ahead as next summer! So if you would like a session with me in 2015, make sure you don’t leave it too late!
