Family photo shoot in the beautiful lavender in Surrey

Isn’t this weather just incredible? I really don’t think I’ve ever known it be so hot for so long in the UK, and it looks like it’s here to stay for a while!

Us Brits are so used to moaning about the cold or the rain and now we can only say that it’s a little bit too hot!

I have my lavender mini sessions tomorrow morning, so it thought it was the perfect time to share this family shoot in the lavender that I did last year.

I had photographed this family twice before, so I put this little montage together to show how much the children have grown. I just love seeing children grown up in front of my camera.

And here are more photos from our morning at the stunning Mayfield lavender fields in Banstead, Surrey.

The lavender fields are one of the most challenging places I shoot what with the lack of shade, the bees and the crowds. But the results are so very worth it, aren’t they just beautiful?

Have a great week and I hope you stay nice and cool!
