I love it when I get invited back to photograph families, especially when they’ve got a gorgeous new addition to the family!
You may remember this gorgeous baby boy I photographed back in 2012, I loved the photos of him in the bath.
During custom sessions at families’ homes, I always capture the lovely (and essential!) portraits of the family together and the children individually. But I also like to capture lots of candid photos of the family just being themselves around the house. I love it when the family suggest something to make it more personal to them. In the photos above, the boys are playing with one of their favourite books. I photographed the big brother reading it at his baby shoot, so it was lovely to photograph the 2 brothers playing with it together.
And we went into the garden at the end of the session where Sam proudly showed me the seeds he was growing in the greenhouse.
The family have ordered another leather fine art album to add to the one they ordered from the baby shoot (which you can see here). It will be fantastic to have a whole collection of these beautiful albums showing their boys growing up.
I hope you all have a wonderful Easter!
PS. If you are one of the many mums who hate getting in front of the camera, then make sure you check out my blog post over on my training website about why YOU should be in your family photos too.
