A newborn photo shoot at home in Surrey

I thought with Mother’s Day coming up it was a perfect time to share the session that produced one of my favourite mummy photos from last year.

This baby girl was just 2 weeks old at the time of the shoot, but it totally looks like she is laughing with her mummy doesn’t it? Such a special moment.

I have photographed this family a couple of times before and it was so lovely to see them again and to meet their gorgeous new addition to the family. When I arrived, baby sister was having a feed so I was able to catch up with big sis. One of the best things about my job is getting to see all of these lovely little people grow up. And this little lady was still as much fun  as she was at her shoot 2 years ago.

Then her new little sister had finished her feed and it was time for some photos with Daddy.

Then it was time for another feed and more time playing peek-a-boo with big sis….

And then little one was back again but fast asleep, giving me the chance to capture all of those lovely details and for the all-important first photos as a family of four.

I love photographing newborns like this…in their homes, surrounded by their families, with no props or gimmicks. You can read more about  my  thoughts on photographing newborns here, and how my style has evolved over the years.

The family ordered some more frames to add to their growing collection along with digital images and lots of gift prints.

E & D – thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your family once again, it really was a pleasure. I can’t wait to photograph you all again when the girls are a bit older!
