How are you doing? How are you feeling about gradually emerging from months of lockdown? I did my first shoot this week since lockdown began and it felt so good to be shooting again and actually seeing a client in person! And I was relieved that I remembered how my cameras work!

I haven’t been blogging much over lockdown…at the beginning of the crisis it didn’t feel quite right to be sharing photos of happy families when there were so many tragic things happening in the world.

Then the last few months, I’ve been really busy creating a brand new online programme for family photographers. You may know that I’ve been running my Delight Retreats and workshops for family photographers for the past 4 years now, and I had a workshop planned for June. Obviously plans had to change, but instead of cancelling it, I decided to take all of the content and turn it into an online programme. It has taken SO much time to pull it together but I’ve loved it! I’m currently in the final week of the beta run of the programme with a lovely group of photographers, and the feedback has been amazing so far. We also had to get used to interviewing guests via Zoom, and managed to get out some new podcast episodes during lockdown, plus an exciting new quiz to find out what type of photographer you are. You can see more here.

I had to schedule a lot of shoots that I had booked in during lockdown, including all of my spring and summer mini sessions. Thank you to all of my lovely clients for being so understanding, I’m really looking forward to doing all of your sessions over the rest of the summer.

I’m so pleased that it looks like my lavender mini sessions will be able to go ahead as planned later this month. They are all fully booked, but get yourself on my mini session mailing list to hear about any cancellations and to ensure you don’t miss out in the future.
