I always love photographing brilliant business owners in places that feel like them – and this Brighton brand shoot with positioning and strategy expert Liana Fricker was full of colour, energy and personality.

I’ve known Liana for a number of years and have been to lots of her inspiring events, so I was really chuffed when she booked my annual brand photography package. This means we get to create three different shoots together over the course of the year, building a varied bank of images she can use across her website, social media, LinkedIn, email marketing and launches.

And with someone as dynamic as Liana, one shoot was never going to be enough.

A brand shoot with variety

Our first shoot together took place at my garden studio in Surrey. It gave us a relaxed, colourful and personal set of images that captured Liana’s warmth, confidence and energy.

 

 

For Liana’s second shoot, we headed to Brighton and used two very cool locations to create a completely different feel. Brighton is such a brilliant backdrop for brand photography because it gives you so much variety – interesting interiors, colourful corners, creative spaces and that slightly rebellious, playful energy the city does so well. Universe please send me more Brighton shoots please! 😉

Capturing the feeling of a brand

Liana is known as the Inspirer in Chief and works as a positioning and strategy expert, helping business owners get clearer on what they do, what they stand for and how to communicate it.

So for her brand photos, it felt especially important that we didn’t just capture what she looks like. We wanted to capture what it feels like to be around Liana.

Bold, inspiring and full of possibility.

And when someone arrives at a shoot with a sequinned robe, purple platforms and a disco ball, you know you’re going to create something special!

Why Brighton works so well for a branding shoot

A branding shoot in Brighton is perfect if you want images that feel creative, colourful and a little bit different. It’s especially good if you don’t want your brand photography to feel too corporate or predictable.

For Liana, Brighton gave us a completely different energy from the studio shoot. The locations added more edge and more personality, while still keeping the images polished and professional.

That’s always the balance I’m looking for in a brand shoot: photos that feel elevated enough for your website and business, but natural enough that you still feel like yourself.
