Yesterday I had an amazing shoot for My Heart and Home. You may remember I did a shoot for them last year to show off their beautiful nighties and gifts.
Janne Ford, who owns the business, commissioned me to do another shoot for her business again this year, this time the theme being an outdoor sleepover with boys invited along as well! My Heart and Home also sells some gorgeous pyjamas for boys so Janne wanted to ensure we showed those off too.
Janne is one of the most creative people I know, I’m so lucky to have the opportunity to work with her. Not only does she understand that having aspirational photographs of her products takes her brand to the next level, she’s also amazing at making props! She came up with all of the ideas for this shoot and made most of the props along with her husband, including the teepee (I seriously wouldn’t know where to start!)
The shoot was great fun. We didn’t quite get the magical golden sunlight we were hoping for, but considering it started raining on our way there, I was just pleased the heavens didn’t open half way through!
This is only a little sneak preview as it’s going to take me some time to go through the hundreds of photos I took during the evening. I know Janne and the mums of the models are keen to see the photos, so here are a few that grabbed my eye as I was having a quick look through them.
If you read my blog regularly, you may recognise that the little one is my big boy Harrison….he had an absolute ball and said in the car on the way home ‘that was the funnest trip ever, I got to ride a tractor, fight with swords, go in a wigwam and eat sweets’. He’s going to want to accompany Mummy to work more often!
I will show lots more from the shoot once I’ve had a chance to edit them all. I hope you like this little sneak peek!
