I shared a little sneak preview of this shoot I did for My Heart and Home nightwear last month. Now I can show you lots more of the photos from our lovely shoot, and believe me there really are a lot of photos in this blog post, I just couldn’t narrow it down! My Heart and Home sell beautiful childrens’ nightwear along with other lovely things for the home. After our styled shoot last year, they wanted to do include some boys in this year’s shoot to show off their fantastic pyjama range as well.
The location for the shoot was in the grounds of a lovely family’s house in Esher. I was in photographic heaven, so many amazing things to use for the shoot including a tractor, tree swings, kittens and a lovely golden retriever! And of course the fabulous styling by Janne from My Heart and Home made it a pleasure to shoot. I love the amount of thought she had put into the shoot, including homemade bow and arrows and wooden signs. The children were in heaven too with all of the cool things to play with and tasty treats!
I just loved the bow and arrows. How funny is my boy’s sulky face after he got allocated the role of arrow-holder to the 4 big children. And yes the little one is my big boy in case you’re looking at him and wondering where you recognise him from!
I wish I could have a tractor like this one below in every shoot I do!
Here are the boys; don’t you just love these British themed pyjamas?
And here are the girls. Love the fact that we had some four-legged friends to photograph them with!
And at the end of the shoot they were all allowed to dig into the party food, I think Harrison ate his body weight in marshmallows!
Phew, I think that’s the most images I’ve ever shown in one blog post. I hope you enjoyed looking through them, as much as I enjoyed taking them. Our models were absolute stars and Janne from My Heart and Home was a delight to work with once again. You can see how she has used the images on her website here, and read her thoughts about the shoot here on her blog.
I would love to do more commercial shoots like this one, so if you sell products or clothes aimed towards children and would love aspirational images to take your brand to the next level, then I’d love to chat to you. I don’t currently take on commercial work photographing products on their own, only if they include children too! But I do teach business owners how to take great product photos themselves, so you don’t have to rely on hiring a professional every single time you want great photos of your products. Janne came on the workshop last year and you can see how fab her own product photos are on her Facebook page.
This shoot was a great taster of camping life for H, as a few days later we actually went on our first ever family camping trip, so he actually got to sleep in a tipi overnight! You can see photos from our trip over on my photography workshops blog.
