I know we all secretly like looking at a good ‘before and after’, so I have some great ones to show you in this post! I have put these together to demonstrate what a huge difference a good professional headshot can make. I have written about this before on my blog, but I thought it was worth talking about again!
On the left of each of these photos below is the image the ladies were using on their websites and/or on social media such as Twitter, Facebook etc. Then on the right is one of the photos from our headshot session. I don’t use make up artists for my headshots, as I like to show people as they look everyday. So the only difference is the fact that a professional photographer took the photo, and therefore found the right light, background and pose for the person.
Here is a before and after that I haven’t shared on here before, and what a great one it is! This is Amanda Allan of Indigo Blu Events Management.
Below is Fiona Macduff who runs a graphic design business, Kifi Creative.
Here is Jo Mir who sells Jo Magdalena jewellery and runs a team of consultants.
And finally, here is Paula Trovalusci who runs a soft furnishings business, Curtain Lab.
So hopefully you’ll agree that these professional headshots make a huge difference to the image that they are portraying to potential customers. And if you are using your logo as your profile picture then you really need to consider showing your lovely face instead! I completely believe that people buy from people (and could bore you with statistics & research…but I won’t), and so it’s really important that you show your face on your website and social media.
If you would like to invest in a gorgeous new headshot for 2012, I have just 2 slots left for my headshot promotion in Jan/Feb. I’m delighted that since I announced it on Wednesday, I’ve had 8 people book their sessions already. So be quick and email me to grab one of the last sessions in Kingston-upon-Thames on 25th January.
