I hope your December is going well and you’re managing to keep all of the balls up in the air. Always such a hectic month, but I finally feel like I’m on top of things, hence being able to write this blog post!

I thought for my last post of the year, I would share some of the amazing business owners that I have done mini branding shoots with in Guildford, Surrey.

I’ve been running these sessions for over a decade now (I can’t quite believe that!) I used to call these headshot sessions, but I changed this year I changed the name of them to mini branding shoots.

When I started running these mornings, my clients just needed a few headshots as a profile photo on Facebook or their ‘about me’ page. So the name made sense.

Now the social media landscape has completely changed. Business owners now need a compelling personal brand to stand out and attract their dream clients. It’s no longer enough just to have that one headshot that you roll out for years (sorry to break it to you!)

Over the past few years, my mini sessions have become so much more than simply headshots.

Here are some of the things that are included in the experience:

• My advice on how to prepare for the shoot and what to wear
• A questionnaire so I can find out more about your brand and business
• A hired meeting room in a gorgeous boutique hotel so you have somewhere to leave your belongings (and change tops!)
• Shooting spots in and around the hotel that are chosen especially for you to be perfectly on brand (all of these photos below were taken during 25 minute session in the same location)
• Expert posing tips from me and a fun relaxed session – including headshots but also more
• An online gallery with 15+ gorgeous, expressive images for you to choose from

So as you can see, this is not so much more than just a few headshots taken in a street (which is how my headshot mornings first started back in 2010!)

I’ve had many clients commenting that this was so much more than just a headshot session as the name had suggested, so it felt like it was time to change the name!
